The Fam

Hmmm. Well, 4 out of 5 people are happy. Tanner hated that Hawaiian floral shirt. Really bad. We will just have to try again this summer. And we were all having a good hair day even!

Lots

I took lots more pictures in the past week than I have in ages. And each set showed LOTSA stuff. ;) Lotsa mess, not so much nest for this mourning dove. Gotta give it credit for not giving up three mornings in a row though!
Can you see the piles just outside the front door?

Lotsa car washes, repairs, and charges happened last Wednesday for three hours straight. Every truck in the house is in perfect condition now.

Lotsa frosting, jelly beans, and cupcakes made with a kit from Granny = lotsa happy messes.

***Notice the new giant plant with lotsa leaves Jeff got free on a job!

Lotsa egg dying at Grandma's house. We did 48 eggs I think. Lotsa colors. Lotsa happy.

Lotsa bad hair Easter morning for Tanner.

Lotsa peach rings and other gummy candy for my non chocolate eaters. Each kid got their own sesame stick bags, which we had to label because they won't share.

Each one got lotsa paper...a whole ream for each. They LOVED it!

And a box of lotsa cheez-its for each.

And more fun looking for eggs.

Lotsa muscles.

Lotsa swinging.

I will be back with lots more soon I am sure. It is that time of year!

Another Dance Down

The girls had a blast with their Daddy and looked as cute as could be. Mommy pulled off another successful event for the PTO. :)

Such a cool event and opportunity for Jeff and the girls to make some special memories.

These are some of the decorations we did. Look at all the cute goodies people donated.

It was an enchanted forest theme. Overall and then three closeups of the three main components.

Spring Break

We enjoyed our week with the girls home. In some ways it was low key: we stayed in Lockport and we spent zero pennies. In others, not so much! We giggled and laughed and got really loud. We spent a lot of time with friends. We got out all of the toys they hadn't played with in a very very long time. Everyone was in a good mood for the week (even Mommy--well for the most part) and there were very few fights. Much better than I expected! Here are some highlights: Homemade playdough is always a big hit at our house! This is Annika's favorite meal: shrimp, pork chop, homemade french fries, and mashed potatoes. I let Tanner made prints of his toes. Notice we are still in jammies, it was noon. ;)
Phoebe made an assortment of animals. I loved this little squirrel.
We went to Pilcher Park for hike to find spring. Even though Phoebe hated leaving the house, she was soon won over along with the other kids. They love a good trek!
We found bugs, chickadees, bark, beaver bitten trees, holes for critters, you know all the good stuff.
We found lots of long logs to climb.
And we discovered the nature center with more critters and the greenhouse. Definitely headed back! And we hear they have backpacks for real trails with compasses, binoculars and all sorts of good stuff.
One of the sets of toys that came out of storage was the Thomas train stuff. I swear they prefer to set up the track more than anything. We also got out ALL the Barbies and ALL the stuffed animals. And some other stuff. It was a mess around here, but they were actually quite good about putting it away.
We played a lot of games. Jenga is always a fave. Tanner is quite the daredevil at this one, but also quite good at it amazingly enough.

We got the movie Bedtime Stories from the library and they watched it 3 times and are quoting whole sections of the movie now. Mommy even laughed during this movie and agreed to 3 showings, so obviously I give this one a thumb's up.

There you go. Hope you have had good times this spring too!
